Alake Calls for a Successful Lisabi Festival

His Royal Majesty, Oba Michael Adedotun Gbadebo, the Alake of Egbaland, has called on all sons and daughters of Egbaland both at home and in the Diaspora to rally round to make this year’s Lisabi Festival a resounding success.

The monarch, made the call at a press conference held in his palace in Ake, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Monday.

The Alake said the festival is a celebration of heroism and a wake-up call for the younger generation to emulate the greatness of their forebears and carry on the mantle of leadership the Egbas are known for.

He said the festival is in its 29th edition and is something the people of the land has been doing selflessly to continue their unification, as well as to point to the wider community that the Egbas are a force to reckon with in all spheres of the economy.

While commending Globacom, one of the country’s telecommunication outfit for being the official sponsor of the Lisabi festival, the monarch seized the occasion to also enjoin journalists in the country to always stand on the path of truth.
