According to reports, the Federal Government on Friday endorses the sack of all the directors of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) with immediate effect. Nine directors were shown the exit by the Minister of State for Aviation, Sen. As the search for the AirAsia flight QZ8501, which crashed in the Java Sea on Sunday, December 28, continues, the Indonesian search officials say part of the tail of the plane has been found in the sea. NIMET Enhances Aviation Safety

In the last two years, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NIMET, and the Accident Investigation and Prevention Bureau, AIPB, have implemented several projects that have enhanced safety and security in the Nigeria’s aviation industry. Some of these are the installation of Doppler Weather Radar and the Calibrated Meteorological Instrument, which are used to detect and track hazardous weather systems on real-time basis and guarantees weather data reliability.
