Almost five years after Cynthia Osokogu, a 24 year old indigene of Delta State, was found dead in a hotel in Festac Town, Lagos, a Lagos State High Court today found two people: Okwumo Nwabufo and Olisaeloka Ezike guilty of her death and subsequently sentenced them to death.
Justice Olabisi Akinlade, in his judgment, said Nwabufo and Ezike are guilty of the crime brought against them by the state and therefore have to pay for it. At the time of her death, Osokogu was a post graduate student of Nasarawa State University, She was found dead at Cosmilla Hotel, Lake View estate, Festac Town, Lagos.
