Eko Foundation, a non-governmental group, has commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for stemming down the supposed political tension arising from the outcome of the National Assembly leadership election.
At a recently held meeting of the Foundation in which members examined the nation’s current political climate, Wale Smith, President of Eko Foundation, extolled the efforts of the APC for putting the opposition to shame through display of rare maturity and courage, especially on the part of leaders of the political party.
While speaking during the meeting, Hakeem Danmola, founding chairman and a member of Trustees of the Eko Foundation, along with Tayo Shasanya, secretary, took turns to commend what they described as the enviable magnanimity of the APC, a gesture that have brought about peace.
They also charged the electorates to exercise patience, especially going by the current state of affairs in the country, so as to achieve the much-anticipated change.
The group particularly appraised the efforts of Bola Tinubu, prominent leader of the APC and other seasoned political leaders. They enjoined Nigerians to assist the leaders in government with continued fervent prayers, coupled with very constructive suggestions to promote overall development of the country.
The Foundation urged all political gladiators to look for ways to improve on their own parts. They also appealed to them to embrace peace and prioritise the nation’s continued existence as an entity in their resolve at all times.
