Jibola Dabo, veteran Nollywood actor, has refuted rumours making the rounds that he plans to quit acting.
Reacting to the rumour, Dabo said he has no intention of quitting acting anytime soon.
Due to his prolonged absence from the industry in recent times, there have been speculations that the renowned actor had finally left the screen for his political pursuit.
However, Dabo disclosed that he only decided to pause so as to concentrate on his political campaign. He is working on plans to secure the ticket to represent Owo Federal Constituency, Ondo State, at the Federal House of Representatives.
The actor, who hails from Ondo State, explained that politics was never his own decision but the call of his people who passionately desire to have him represent them.
“Nothing from the constitution stops me from doing movies,” he says, “but I know there won’t be time to make many movies. I’m not quitting. I’m just taking a break,” Dabo said.
