Samsung Group, the world’s leading electronic giant, on Sunday, launched its new Smart Watch, Gear 2.
With a 1.63 inches screen, a 2.0 megapixel camera, a heart rate sensor and pedometer, an audio that can work with a Bluetooth headphone and an alert system for incoming text messages and emails,
the wrist strap is surely another entrant that will give mobile device lovers some reasons to cheer.
Having worked on criticisms that greeted Gear 1, the first version of the Smart Watch, the South Korean company marked a step towards independence from Android devices by adding new features
such as sports tracking software and a remote control for devices such as televisions in its new flagship Smartphone.
The Tizen Operating System developed by Samsung and its partners powers the Smart Watch, which comes in two models – the Gear 2 and the Gear 2 Neo. It was launched to break free from the
dominance of Android. The only difference between the two models is just the absence of a camera in the Gear 2 Neo.
With the introduction of the Watch, which will start selling as from April, mobile device freaks are set to have a whole new Smartphone experience with an option to choose from a range of colours
such as black, orange and black.
