We appreciate Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan. He is a very successful man. He loves his people, young and old. Because of the road and schools he has built for us many people we never knew now come to this community. Products that use to be sold at high prices are now cheap because of easy means of transportation to the community. The road is opening up our market and the schools he has built for us are like heaven.

He is a Blessing to Us

Jonathan Koma, Elders’ Council secretary, Abigborodo

I am very happy with the governor. The whole community appreciate him. Today is one of the most important days for us on earth. He is a blessing to us because he has done most of the projects he promised that government will bring to us. We are happy with him. The Abigborodo community started expecting this road since the time of my forefathers. Now, the road has been done. Our children will benefit from the schools he has built for us. It is a good thing indeed.

He Has Created Jobs for Our People

I can see that Burutu Grammar School is going to be one of the best among the schools in the riverine areas. You can see the rate at which they are bringing in cement, chippings, sand and other building materials. As from next year this place is going to wear a new look. Our people are very happy about this because they even told us that those who do not have jobs should come out there and find some jobs to do.

I like the new school building and I say a big thank you to the government. I want the governor to put good chairs, tables and other equipment in the school before commissioning.

It is a New Experience

We are happy about the new school buildings and facilities. It is a new teaching and learning environment. We will do our best to protect the facilities. Some parents are now bringing their children from private schools to this place because of the good learning environment.

Uduaghan Means Well

Tony Etor, site engineer, Otovwodo Primary School, Ughelli

Governor Uduaghan means well for the people of Delta State. You cannot find this kind of structures even in most of the private schools. With this environment, students now feel at home.

The idea is for us to reinvent all the structures in the school premises to bring them to standard.

Delta State University is cool; it’s okay. In terms of infrastructure, for now, the VC is trying; they are building more infrastructure and providing needed facilities. The lecturers are good; teaching is going on fine. DELSU is a very good university.
The Children Are Happy

The new blocks of classrooms are fantastic. I am so happy. If you get into the classrooms, what you see there is marvellous. The classrooms are very conducive for learning. I appreciate the governor for doing this for Nana College. We can’t wait to move in there. The parents are happy, the children are happy. With this good environment we will achieve success.

The classes are conducive for learning. It would be better because of the population of this school. There will be more space and enough seats to go round. The government has tried. God will bless them. I think we also need the school to be fenced for security reasons.

Our School is Now Equipped

Jessica Egede, SS2, Owa Model College

I think the new building is good. We are around 100 students in a class now. By the time we move into the new building, it will be 40 students per class. The new building has a well-equipped laboratory. Right now there is no ventilation but the new building will solve that problem.

Lot Is Happening Here

The polytechnic is okay. Some of the facilities are good, but some need to be improved upon. The teaching is very okay. I planned to go to the university but I didn’t apply on time. As you can see, quite a lot is happening so we are hoping for the best.

I feel happy and excited about the new school. It was started when we were in JS1. It is one of the biggest schools in Warri. It is also better than this old building that does not have enough seats and furnishing.
