Buruji Kashamu, a former senator representing Ogun West constituency is dead. A tweet by a friend and former colleague in the Senate, Ben Murray-Bruce said Kashamu died of complications associated with Covid-19. He died at First Cardiology Consultants, Lagos where he was receiving treatment. Murray-Bruce wrote, “I have just lost my good friend of forever to COVID19. Until his death, Sen. Buruji Kashamu and I were inseparable.” Kyari’s was the first high profile death from the virus.
The death of the senator is, however, yet to be announced by his family.
