The Federal High Court sitting in Benin presided over by Justice Babatunde Quadri, has thrown out the case filed by Kenneth Imansuangbon, popularly known as ‘Riceman’, against the emergence of Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata, former president of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, as Edo State Labour Party, LP, gubernatorial candidate for the September 21 governorship election. Stating that it lacked jurisdiction to entertain the suit, the court dismissed the suit as lacking merit and was based on speculation.
