‘Falana And His Cohorts Not Better Than Ekiti Voters’ – Fayose

Democracy Day: Fayose Asks Ekiti People To Unite

Ayodele Fayose, Ekiti State Governor-Electhas described the statement credited to Femi Falana,a Lagos based human rights lawyer as baseless and should not to be taken seriously.

Falana was quotedas saying that some citizens of the state will go on self-exile if Fayose is eventually sworn in as governor of the state.

In a reaction, Fayose, speaking through Idowu Adelusi, his Chief Press Secretary said, only troublemakers would leave the state. He said the electorates who voted for the governor in the June 21 election this year are full of expectations for Fayose to be inaugurated.

“Ekiti is as peaceful as any other state, it is people like Falana who are beating the drums of war and propaganda that are having nightmares and sleepless nights over the return of Fayose as the governor of the state.

“Falana and his cohorts should know that they are not in any way better than thousands of Ekiti teachers, artisans, bike riders, businessmen, council workers, professionals and others who cast their votes for Fayose to lead them for the next four years,” he sated.

Adelusi who expressed doubt over the statement reportedly made by Falana, added that leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC are the ones fomenting trouble in the state.
