Imo State Governor-elect, Emeka Ihedioha has promised to run an all-inclusive government that will lead to cooperation between all the arms of government in the state.

Ihedioha, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, made the pledge shortly after receiving his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, at a ceremony in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

He assured that the people of Imo State would have reason to smile during his administration with local governments given the needed support.

He said, “I want to assure you that under our watch, we shall have a responsible government and under our watch, democracy shall be practised as enshrined in the constitution of our republic.

“Under our watch, we shall observe independence and respect for the legislative arm of government.

“At the same time, the judicial arm of government will work closely with us to ensure justice dispensation as enshrined in the constitution.”

Also, the deputy governor-elect in the state, Gerald Irona, and 27 members of the state House of Assembly received their certificates of return.
