There is low turnout of voters at Ijapo Estate in Akure, Ondo State.
At the two polling units in Ward 4 where accreditation is ongoing, INEC adhoc staff were seen punching the keypads of their blackberry phones.
Olatunde Adebiyi, an adhoc staff, bemoaned the turnout of voters.”I really do not understand why people are not coming out to vote. As at 12.40pm, we have less than 250 people who have been accredited. It is obviously clear that we have voter apathy around here,” Adebiyi said.
Although voting is scheduled to commence by 1.30pm, many people say they are indifferent.
