Man electrocuted in Lagos

An unidentified man who was electrocuted through body contact with a container truck in Lagos has died, police officials said.

In a press statement issued on Monday, September 15, Ngozi Braide, Public Relations Officer, Lagos Police Command, said the man died as a result of having body contact with a trailer driven by one “Abiodun Obalende…While the driver was reversing, the trailer allegedly touched electric wire before the victim unknowingly touched it and died on the spot.”

The incident happened on September 13, at Johnson Uniefe Street, Ajao Estate Isolo, Lagos.

While the corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the Isolo general hospital, the matter is being investigated by Ajao Estate Police Station.
