…Says APC’ll Soon Return to Power

The new executive of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State led by David Imuse, said it would soon expose why Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration is the greatest scam that has ever happened in Edo’s political history. Imuse, a medical doctor and retired army colonel, described Obaseki as a “sole administrator,” and not a governor. He accused him of surrounding himself with “political sycophants, political predators, political opportunists, and political vagabonds”. The PDP however had no immediate response to the APC’s upbraid.

According to the former state caretaker committee chairman of the party who was returned Saturday through consensus, “As you know, we do not have a governor; we have a Sole Administrator. Obaseki’s PDP administration is the greatest scam that has ever happened in Edo political history. Details will be made known to Edo people very soon”.

Frowning at Obaseki’s recent statement that the PDP had no opposition in the state, Imuse declared that “the party is now fully prepared to play the role of credible opposition with constructive criticisms based on facts and intelligence”.

He said with the political road to year 2023 and 2024 now under construction, a united APC in the state would not only deliver Edo to the party, but would also retake the seat of Government in Benin City.

When contacted for the PDP’s reaction, its publicity secretary, Chris Nehikhare said the party would respond on Monday after due consultation.
