President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt birthday wishes to his Chief of Staff, Olufemi Hakeem Gbajabiamila, as he marks another year today, June 25, 2025.
In a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu lauded Gbajabiamila’s “salutary contributions” to Nigeria’s democratic development and legislative excellence.
Gbajabiamila, a trained lawyer and seasoned lawmaker, served as Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023 and was first elected to the National Assembly in 2003. He represented Surulere Constituency in Lagos State for an impressive six consecutive terms, holding positions as both Minority and Majority Leader during his tenure.
President Tinubu highlighted Gbajabiamila’s loyalty, experience, and dedication to public service, not only at the national level but also in the continuous development of his Lagos constituency. He emphasized that the Chief of Staff remains a critical figure in the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which seeks to transform Nigeria into a stronger, more economically viable, and prosperous nation.
“President Tinubu encourages his Chief of Staff to continue supporting him in implementing the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the statement read. “He wishes Gbajabiamila a long life and good health.”
The warm birthday message reflects both a personal and professional bond between Tinubu and Gbajabiamila, two of Lagos State’s most prominent political figures, now steering the ship of Nigeria’s current administration from the presidency.
