The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, has been presented with the 2026 Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS) Distinguished Award for Excellence in Gender Policy and Social Inclusion, a prestigious national recognition celebrating her leadership and transformative impact in advancing women’s rights and social equity across Nigeria.
The award was formally presented at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the high-profile ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Akume conveyed the President’s commendation for the minister’s “dedicated service, exceptional leadership, and continuous advocacy for inclusive policies that uplift women, children, families, and vulnerable communities nationwide.”
