The General Secretary of the Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, (ISSSAN), Didì Adodo is dead. A former General Secretary of the United Labour Congress, (ULC) Adodo also served as commissioner for establishment and special duties in Edo State during the immediate past Adams Oshiomhole administration.

Unconfirmed sources say Adodo died as a result of complications arising from COVID-19 virus. A family source hinted that the two-time commissioner took ill less than a week ago of an undisclosed ailment.

It was learnt that arrangements were being made to convey his remains for burial in his home town.

Confirming the death, the source said “He died this morning. He had been ill for some time but recovered and then the ailment relapsed a few days ago. As we speak, we are making necessary arrangements for his burial in Iruekpen, Esan West local government area.”
