The presidency has refuted claims that it has sacked Ibrahim Magu, acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The news filtered in early today that the man who the Senate refused to clear for the job has been sacked by President Muhammadu Buhari. The story also added that Magu has been asked to hand over to the director next to him , after which he was asked to report to the Police, his primary constituency.
Garba Sheu, senior special assistant to the president who said no report of the investigation to allegations against Magu had been submitted to Buhari, said ‘’The report of his sack is therefore speculative and preemptive’’.
Meanwhile, report of his sack quoted sources in government, so who wants Magu sacked?
