Epic Records, United States, have announced its readiness to release a post-humus album of late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. This was made known in a statement released by the records recently. The album entitled ‘Escape,’ which will feature eight brand new tracks of the late musician, will be released on May 13, 2014.
The chairman of Epic Records and former X-factor judge, L.A. Reid, was granted unlimited access to Jackson’s archives by the late singer’s estate. In the archives, Reid said he was able to uncover “four decades of material on which Jackson had completed his vocals”
Reid also said he selected eight tracks for the album and sent them out to be retooled by producers in a process he termed “contemporising”. The producers that were chosen are said to have the “gravitas, depth and range” to maintain the essence and integrity of Jackson’s work.
