Barely 48 hours to the March 28, Presidential and National Assembly elections, Eniola Omosule, an All Progressives Congress, APC member of the House of Representatives representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency in Ondo State has been arrested by the Police in Ondo State.
Omosule who is vying for another term in the House of Representatives was detained at the state Criminal Investigation Bureau, SCIB, on Wednesday in the process of trying to bail his security guard who had earlier been detained by the police.
Sources close to the politician say his Owo home was searched last week Wednesday by men of the Police Anti Bomb squad who in the process, arrested his gate man and whisked him away to Akure, the state capital.
Oyewole Fasawe, a prominent politician and leader of the APC in Ondo State said Omosule’s travails are political.
Fasawe alleged that Omosule who was a member of the Labour Party, is being persecuted for refusing to decamp to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP along with Olusegun Mimiko, Ondo State governor.
