Umuahia, Abia State was full of activities on Thursday October 7, 2021. There was excitement in the air. It was not yet time for a local state or general election. The event in town was the annual convention and election of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ.

SO, delegates from across the country trooped into the Capital of the state for Union’s 7th Triennial National Delegates Conference, 2021 which held at Michael Okpara Auditorium.

Christopher Isiguzo, the incumbent president of the union and his team won all seats unopposed while the opponents boycotted the election for the reasons yet to be stated.

Unlike other elections, which always ended at midnight with anxiety. It was indeed a smooth ride to victory for the the president.
