Activities in Lagos courts have been placed on hold for one-week as courtrooms across the state are under lock and key.

The vacation will enable judicial workers including Judges, Lawyers and other court workers participate in a line-up of activities to mark the legal week. When TELL visited some of the courts in the state this Monday, it was observed that no activity was going.

Speaking with the magazine, Yinka Farounbi, chairman, Ikeja branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, said the ceremony is held annually to mark the end of a legal year; and plan towards the coming one. He added that activities like Church services, Mosque prayers, stakeholders meeting and awards would be held during the week as part of programs to celebrate the week.
