A United Kingdom based Engineer, Jude Obichere has emerged as the 2019 governorship candidate of the Alliance for People’s Trust, APT, in Imo State.
Obichere emerged after the ratification of the primaries at the party’s convention held at the Airport Hotel in Lagos last weekend.
Also at the National Convention of the People’s Trust, PT in Lagos, the party changed its name and logo to Alliance for Peoples Trust, APT and a hand of victory sign respectively.
The party also sealed the strategic fusion between it and ANN as Funke Awolowo of PT stepped down for Gbenga Olawepo – Hashim of the ANN to enable a formidable energy for an already signed technical fusion between the PT and ADC for the 2019 elections.
A new national Exco led by Olisa Agbakoba, SAN was also elected at the Convention.
