Osun 2026: Electorate Won’t Regret Returning APC to Power — Oyintiloye Assures Voters
APC chieftain Oyintiloye says the party is ready to return stronger in Osun 2026 with a documented blueprint and renewed grassroots engagement, as aspirant Bola Oyebamiji vows to implement people-driven policies.
As political momentum builds ahead of the Osun 2026 governorship election, a chieftain of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has assured the people of Osun State that they will not regret returning the party to power on August 8, 2026.
Oyintiloye made this statement during a high-profile consultation visit by APC governorship aspirant, Bola Oyebamiji, to party stakeholders and supporters in Obokun Local Government Area.
Describing the APC as a party that learns from the past and plans for the future, Oyintiloye said the party is fully prepared to meet the expectations of the electorate based on data gathered through the Osun Civic Engagement Agency, which he once led as Special Adviser on Information and Civic Orientation during the administration of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
“The blueprint to hit the ground running is already documented. Our incoming governor will start strong with that foundation and with new ideas being fine-tuned,” Oyintiloye said.
He emphasized that the agency had compiled a comprehensive needs assessment during the previous administration, aimed at bridging the gap between government policies and the people’s actual needs — a document he said remains relevant and vital for the incoming government.
In his response, Bola Oyebamiji, a leading aspirant and current Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), pledged to revisit the civic engagement document, noting that it captured the true yearnings of citizens across Osun’s local communities.
“That document is available. The administration of our boss, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, invested heavily in collecting the people’s needs. We shall get there and do our best to implement it,” Oyebamiji assured.
He further promised to prioritize issues affecting civil servants, artisans, and grassroots stakeholders, if elected. While declaring confidence in APC’s chances at the polls, Oyebamiji expressed readiness to challenge and defeat the incumbent governor, should he emerge as the party’s flagbearer.
“If I’m given the ticket, I am confident that I will defeat the incumbent. We have the grassroots support, the structure, and the track record,” he declared.
The event was attended by notable APC stalwarts from Obokun and beyond, signaling the beginning of what promises to be an intense political season in Osun State.
As the countdown to Osun 2026 begins, all eyes remain on the APC and its internal dynamics as aspirants begin building momentum ahead of the primaries.
