The African Action Congress (AAC) has raised the alarm over an alleged attack and abduction of its 2027 presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, by suspected political thugs in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The incident reportedly occurred around 1 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, while Sowore and members of his campaign team were at Tawakal’tu Restaurant in the state capital.
Sowore initially disclosed the incident in a post on his official social media account, alleging that armed individuals had attacked him and his team inside the restaurant.
In a subsequent update, his campaign announced that he had allegedly been abducted and that his whereabouts were unknown.
