President Goodluck Jonathan has visited the El-Rufai park scene of Monday morning bomb blast in Abuja.
Speaking at the scene of the blast, the President expressed condolences to the bereaved families and those who suffered direct losses as a result of the blast.
The President affirmed that the federal government was doing everything to move the country forward and these attacks were unnecessary distractions.
According to the Nigeria Police Force, 71 persons have been confirmed dead as a result of the blast while 124 others are being treated for various degrees of injuries.
A total of 16 buses were affected by the early morning blast which apparently appears to have been targeted at people going to work.
