Despite the insecurity situation in the North-Eastern states of Nigeria, the state through Bala Ngilari, its governor, is relentlessly pursuing her quest to transform the industry as its signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MOU, recently, for a Sugar project with JOF Nigeria, a frontline Agro-Allied company.

The state governor explained that the company, which has over 50 years experience, would boost the production of sugar in the state as its expected to establish large scale sugarcane plantation.

The event was witnessed by Ngilari, Segun Fagboyegun, managing director of the company, Ibrahim Welye, secretary to the State Government, Sule Mohammed, permanent secretary, ministry of justice, and Ibrahim Gisinbee, director of Finance and Management Services among other top government functionaries.
