Accidents involving articulated vehicles have been a common occurrence on the bridge for some time now, oftentimes resulting in tragic occurrences. Since the explosion, on the same bridge, that killed many people and destroyed cars about three years ago, there have been accidents of that nature claiming lives and property. When such happens traffic is affected, as people who use the route could be grounded for hours ,sometimes with traffic snaking kilometers back to the expressway inward Lagos and the Lagos end also getting affected.
