Alleged Boko Haram Fuel Supplier Arrested

A truck containing 25 kegs of premium motor spirit PMS and other goods suspected to belong to Boko Haram, the Islamic sect, was arrested by the Quick Reinforcement Force QRF of 251 battalion this morning in the outskirt of Maiduguri.
Colonel Sani Usman Kukasahe, acting director public relations, stated that Muhammadu Adamu, the driver of the vehicle claimed he had no idea what he was carrying inside the truck, while Tijjani Gambo the owner of the goods denied having any connection with the sect but that he supplies wares to his customers in Damboa on demand.

Kukasahe however said investigations showed that Gambo has been consistent sending PMS and wares through the same route at steady intervals without a particular corresponding recipient in Damboa as claimed. The  military suspects that it is one of the ways through which Boko Haram gets supplies to its Sambisa Forest base.
