Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, the Osun State governor, has been sworn in for a second term of office.
The swearing in ceremony, which held at the Osogbo stadium was attended by eminent personalities, including Bisi Akande, former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress; Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos State; Muhammadu Buhari, former military Head of State; Adams Oshiomhole, governor of Edo State; Fatai Ahmed, governor of Kwara State; Lai Mohammed, APC National Publicity Secretary; Adeyemi Ikuforiji, Speaker, Lagos House of Assembly; and Babatunde Fashola, Lagos State governor, among many others.
The swearing-in rites were performed by Adepele Ojo, Osun State Chief Judge.
While delivering his address at the event, Aregbesola thanked the residents of Osun and urged them to ensure that they vote for the APC in the 2015 general elections.
“We thank God Almighty for taking us through the first phase of the journey and for giving us the mandate on that glorious path for another four years. I urge you to repeat the same in 2015 by making sure you vote for APC at all levels,” Aregbesola said.
