Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President has emerged winner of the presidential primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. He scored 371 votes to beat other aspirants. Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers State came second with 237 votes, followed by Bukola Saraki, former president of the Senate who was also a two-term governor of Kwara State. Saraki scored 70 votes to come third. The forth position went to Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state who scored 38 votes followed by his Bauchi State counterpart, Bala Mohammed who scored 20 votes. Anyim Pius Anyim who was also a president of the Senate scored 14.
