Many were feared dead Monday afternoon at the Kano School of Health Technology located along Gida Murtala-BUK Road.
The explosion was said to have gone off at about 2pm.
Eyewitnesses report that the blast appeared to have come from a parking lot next to the office of the Provost of the School of Hygiene, a post-secondary training school.
Kano police spokesman, Magaji Magia, confirmed the blast but declined to provide details until hegets to the scene.
