The Federal Government is giving Ayo Oritsejafor, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, a bad name, the South West chapter, CAN says, over the use of his private jet for the procurement of arms for the country.
Magnus Adeyemi Atilade, chairman of the South west chapter of the association who stated this in a communique issued in Osogbo, Osun State, said the National Security Adviser, NSA, and Defence Minister should be interrogated to clarify what they knew about the deal, resulting in the seizure of $9.3milion arms funds by the South African Government.
“Dasuki and Gwarzo should be questioned and they should provide urgent answers to this national embarrassment to Nigerians,” Atilade said.
CAN also alleged that the whole issue looked like a set-up because Oritsejafor whose jet was leased for the arms purchase is neither a government official, nor did he have any control over the jet when it had been leased.
