Tickets for the long-awaited heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua sold out within an hour on Friday, October 9, after more than 500,000 fans reportedly joined the online queue to secure seats for the highly anticipated fight in Cardiff, Wales.

About 80,000 tickets were released for the December 11, 2026, event at the Principality Stadium, with general sales opening at 12 noon British Summer Time. The overwhelming demand saw tickets disappear rapidly, highlighting the global interest in the first professional meeting between the two former world heavyweight champions.

Ticket prices ranged from £88.50 for the cheapest standard admission to £13,128 for the most expensive tickets, including booking fees, according to reports. The steep prices sparked discussion among boxing fans, while listings on resale platforms reportedly climbed even higher, with some premium ringside packages advertised for more than £70,000.

The bout, which has been discussed for years, is being promoted as one of the biggest events in British boxing history. Fury and Joshua have both held world heavyweight titles and built large international fan bases, but their anticipated clash has repeatedly failed to materialise until the fight was announced in September.

The contest is scheduled for December 11 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, although the main-event ring walks are expected at around 1 a.m. on December 12 to accommodate international audiences, particularly viewers in North America. The stadium is expected to remain open until approximately 3:30 a.m., subject to the necessary permissions.

Global streaming platform Netflix is set to broadcast the fight, giving viewers around the world access to the heavyweight contest. The event is being promoted through a collaboration involving Saudi boxing figure Turki Alalshikh’s The Ring and UFC chief Dana White.

Despite the rapid sell-out of general admission tickets, official hospitality arrangements have also attracted attention as fans seek ways to attend the event. However, availability and prices may vary, and resale listings do not necessarily reflect official ticket prices.

The extraordinary demand underlines the commercial appeal of a Fury-Joshua matchup that boxing fans have anticipated for more than a decade. With the two British heavyweights finally set to meet in the ring, the December contest is shaping up to be one of the most closely watched boxing events of 2026.
