Kefee, Award-winning Gospel Singer Is Dead

Kefee Obareki-Don Momoh, Nigerian Gospel singer is dead. The multiple awards winning musician who is reportedly pregnant died in the early hours of today after being unconscious for weeks in an undisclosed American hospital.

Kefee went into a coma after collapsing on a Chicago-bound flight two weeks ago on her way to attend an event in the United States. A close family source revealed she had previously been diagnosed of pre-enclampsia, a pregnancy-induced high blood pressure.

The talented songwriter, producer and dancer started her music career at the age of eight in her church choir and was brought into limelight by her songs Branama and Kokoroko.

She had to her credit the prestigious United Nation’s Ambassador of Peace award amidst other local and international awards.

The US based artiste was also the Chief Executive Officer of Branama Afrique, an entertainment production outfit and the Manager of Branama Kitchen, her restaurant located in Lagos.
