Plane Flying From Kano to Gabon Missing

Cameroon Aviation sources have declared missing a four-seater plane flying from Nigeria to Gabon through Cameroon.

The plane, owned by the United States Company Global Aviation took off from Kano, northern Nigeria at 1800hours on Monday and was scheduled to arrive at Libreville in Gabon at 2300 hours, after a stopover in Douala, Cameroon.

However, the airline with only an American pilot on board did not make it to Douala, as the last contact it had with the control tower took place in Mongo, which takes a two-hour flight from the Cameroonian economic capital.

Cameroon’s Civil Aviation authorities are still carrying out a search and rescue operation, which is yet to yield any fruitful results.
