The police in Ogun State on Friday evening unearthed the corpse of a baby in what is believed to be ritual murders.
The corpse was dug up at a residence on Wadoye Street in the Pipeline area of Ajuwon, a border community between Lagos and Ogun states.
Eyewitnesses said what triggered the police findings was an investigation into a stolen vehicle. As things turned out, one thing led to the other and the police discovered the corpse of a baby.
The baby whose corpse was found by the police had earlier been declared missing alongside the mother.
Now, the police is working on the theory that the same gang should be able to explain the whereabouts of the baby’s mother who is equally missing.
The police is currently at the scene of the incident.
