Ekiti APC Victory Will Be Repeated in Osun, Says Oyintiloye, Predicts Landslide for AMBO
APC stalwart Olatunbosun Oyintiloye says Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s landslide victory in Ekiti is a strong indication that the party will reclaim Osun State in the August 15 governorship election.
A chieftain of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has declared that the overwhelming victory recorded by Governor Biodun Oyebanji in Saturday’s Ekiti State governorship election would be replicated in Osun during the August 15, 2026 governorship poll.
Speaking with journalists in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyintiloye described Governor Oyebanji’s re-election victory as a well-deserved reward for good governance, commitment to development, and inclusive leadership.
According to the former lawmaker, the outcome of the Ekiti election represents a strong endorsement of the governor’s performance by the people and demonstrates the continued popularity of the APC among voters.
“The result is a resounding endorsement of Governor Oyebanji’s achievements and a clear indication that the people appreciate progressive governance,” he said.
Oyintiloye expressed confidence that the APC would secure an even more decisive victory in Osun, insisting that the party’s growing acceptance across the state places it in a strong position ahead of the election.
He commended the APC National Working Committee (NWC), led by the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and National Secretary, Sen. Ajibola Basiru, for providing strategic leadership that has strengthened the party across the country.
The APC stalwart also praised former Osun State Governor and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, for sustaining and repositioning the party since the 2022 governorship election.
According to him, Oyetola’s continuous engagement with party members, stakeholders, and grassroots supporters has helped consolidate the party’s structure and boost confidence ahead of the forthcoming poll.
“The Ekiti result has shown that when a party is united, focused, and committed to grassroots engagement, victory becomes very easy. It is a clear lesson for us in Osun that teamwork, dedication, and collective responsibility are indispensable for electoral success,” Oyintiloye stated.
He urged APC members and supporters in Osun to remain united and committed, stressing that every member has a vital role to play in ensuring victory at the polls.
Oyintiloye further disclosed that the party’s mobilisation strategy remained robust and result-oriented, aimed at reconnecting with voters and consolidating support across all wards and local government areas in the state.
The APC chieftain expressed optimism that Osun voters would elect the party’s candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), whom he described as competent, experienced, and people-oriented.
“The people of Ekiti have reaffirmed their belief in progressive governance. By the grace of God, the people of Osun will do the same on August 15, 2026, by electing Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as the next governor of the state,” he said.
Oyintiloye maintained that increasing party unity, strong grassroots support, and growing acceptance of the APC candidate are clear signs that the party is poised for victory.
He also predicted defeat for the ruling party in Osun, insisting that the APC would record a landslide victory.
“The victory secured by the APC in Ekiti will be replicated in Osun. The party is widely accepted by the people, and this is a clear signal to the ruling party to brace for defeat.
“Our candidate is ready, the party is ready, and the electorate are ready to repeat the same victory in Osun,” he said.
According to Oyintiloye, the Ekiti triumph has significantly boosted the morale of APC members in Osun, adding that the party is determined to return to power after spending four years in opposition.
“We are ready. We have waited long enough, and by August 15, the victory recorded in Ekiti will be replicated in Osun, and the state will return to progressive leadership,” he added.
He called on the electorate to continue supporting the APC and its candidate, assuring residents that their welfare would remain a top priority under an APC-led administration.
