The year 2014 is another outstanding and rewarding one for TELL Communications Limited, publishers of TELL magazine, as its reporters swept 13 out of 39 awards at the just concluded 2014 Nigerian Media Merit Awards, NMMA, held in Owerri, Imo State on Saturday.

TELL magazine, which won the WAMCO Prize for Newsmagazine of the year, also had its reporters winning special prizes of N500,000 each from Rochas Okorocha, Imo State governor.

The star winners are Muyiwa Lucas, who won in three categories and Anthony Akaeze, senior assistant editor, who won two awards.

The duo had between them, the Keystone Bank prize for CSR reporter of the year, Aviation industry reporter of the year, BAT prize for industry reporter of the year, Bashorun MKO Abiola prize for sports reporter of the year and Ibrahim Shekarau prize for education reporter of the year respectively.

Other winners from the stable of TELL Magazine are Tony Manuaka, senior associate editor, who won the Sonny Odogwu prize for business reporter of the year; Juliana Uche-Okobi, assistant editor that won the Beatrice Ita prize for female reporter of the year; Ayodeji Adeyemi, who won Bukola Saraki prize for Agriculture reporter of the year; Adekunle Yusuf, who won the Cecil King Memorial prize for print journalist of the year; Helen Eni, IGI insurance reporter of the year; Chikodi Okereocha, Buba Marwa prize for Defence reporter of the year and Raymond Mordi, who won the Abubakar Imam prize for newspaper feature writer of the year among others.
