As at 10 am voting was yet to commence at the polling stations within the premises of Agidingbi Senior and Junior Grammar Schools in Ikeja. In fact, at 10 am one of the polling officers was seen appealing to prospective voters to be patient, as they were still trying to test their card readers. Officials at the two polling units there succeeded in controlling the crowd, including those who were almost losing patience with them.


Voting is now ongoing in Unit 059, Ward H, Ifako Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos. Electoral officials arrived the polling station at 10:00am, two hours behind the official time. Voters didn’t observe the distance rule as they were too close to the officials.

At 9:45AM, Unit 025, Ward E, Ifako Ijaiye Local Government, Lagos, commence voting. The turnout of voters is large, and the process is peaceful and orderly. Electoral officials have selected elderly people and those who are not physically fit among voters to cast their votes first.

It is over one hour since the arrival of electoral officials and materials, but voting is yet to commence in Polling Unit 025, Ward E, Ifako Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State. This is as a result of voters not complying with instruction to keep a distance from the Polling Unit. 

At about 8:50 AM, Agbodo Oke Odo in Alimosho Local Government of Lagos State, in Polling Unit 031 Ward C under Ward 10, no INCE official had arrived. One of the voters, Daudu Valentine, a civil servant said: “I have been here since around 7:00 AM but up till now, there is no INEC official or sign of voting. I expect the returning officer to be around. I am surprise they have not come. Well, we are keeping our fingers crossed; the day has come; we must cast our votes; we will wait patiently and we pray every thing should go peacefully.”

At Berger Ojodu Lagos, INEC officials have taken delivery of materials. Voters are on queue​ at about 8:00am

At about 8:20 AM, at Polling Unit 032 Ward 10 in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, no INEC official had arrived. But some voters were already at the polling unit to cast their votes. A police officer was present at the unit.

At Polling Unit 029  Ward C in Alimosho Local Government Area, Lagos State, party agents were around at about 8:40 AM but no INCE official had arrived. Voters who came out early are still waiting patiently for the arrival of officials and voting material. At the unit, three security officers are around.


At 8:50 AM, security personnel arrive Ward H3, unit no 061,Ifako Ijaiye Local Government, Lagos. Still waiting for other electoral officials.
