Ahead of the February general elections in Nigeria, Akinwumi Ambode, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Lagos State has promised to run an accountable government if elected.
Ambode said his tenure as governor of the state will operate an economy with opportunities through good governance and selfless service to the citizens of the state.
Speaking on Thursday at a 2015 gubernatorial debate held in Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral, GRA, Lagos, Ambode said his party has plans to provide the residents with a small scale scheme.
“We have a program to give you a small scale guarantee scheme run by the government,” he promised.
Ambode further promised to improve on the decayed facilities in the Lagos State University, LASU and open online programs to reach students far from the university’s campus.
The APC candidate said he intends to build on the achievements of the current administration led by governor Babatunde Fashola.
He told the gathering that if elected, his government will ensure a safe, clean and more prosperous Lagos.Follow Us on Social Media
