Two children of Momoh Lawal Jimoh, speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, were kidnapped yesterday at his residence in Okengwe, Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Austin Akubo, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker disclosed that the abductors forcibly gained entrance into the Speakers’ residence and demanded for the children- Ogirima, 7-year- old and Afeez, 3-year-old after which they ransacked the house and also made away with some other valuables.
Akubo said the abductors gained entrance by scaling the fence then hacked the doors. They were said to have asked for the Speaker’s phone number before leaving the house with the boys.
