Two suspected members of an armed robbery gang have been killed in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital in a shootout with police officers attached to the state’s police command.
According to the statement obtained from the twitter handle of the Nigerian Police Force, the suspects had launched a robbery operation on EcoBank located on Mile 4 Ikwerre area of the state on November 5 before the police swooped on them.
According to the statement, weapons and the sum of N15,635,500 were recovered from the suspects.
However, names of the suspects were not provided in the statement.
