Come September 30, Christ Redeemer College, CRC, Sagamu, will roll out the drums to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the school. This was revealed by Antoinette Omo-Osagie, the school principal, at the Redemption Camp on Thursday. She said the essence of the programme is to express gratitude to God for its faithfulness over the years. “The Lord has been so faithful to us- the old and new students, staff and the parents. He has indeed helped us so much”, she said. While reeling out some of the achievements of the school, Bayo Adeyemo, chairman, the board of chairman, CRC, said the school is not only celebrating its anniversary but the products, which he said are excelling in different sectors fo the economy.
According to Aina Badejo, chairman, Anniversary Committee the one-year long anniversary programme will start on Friday, September 30 with a 20-hour praise and worship programme, which will dovetail to October 1st. The programme will feature many gospel artists like Kunle Ajayi, Ayan Jesu,and choir group from different schools. Other activities include anniversary inter-house sport, which will feature old and new students, parents, directors, guests; novelty match. “In January, will have opera at MUSON Centre, Lagos, where there will be choral and musical presentations. It is a loaded programme.”
Founded on October 1, 1996, students of CRC have won many local and international laurels for the school and the country. The school which boasts of consistent excellent examination results is part of the vision of Enoch Adeboye, general overseer, Redeemed Christain Church of God, RCCG and Folu Adeboye, his wife and mother-in- Israel, RCCG. They are both academician and educationist respectively.
