Abdulrafiu omo-Aje, chairman, Action Alliance, and running mate of Babatunde Oralusi, AA candidate, has joined the PDP supporters to mobilise support for Iyiola Omisore. Omo-Aje urged members of the party to vote massively for the PDP candidate.
Prior to the change of gear, AA had been having some crisis, as Niyi Fadahunsi, its candidate chosen at its primaries was sidelined by Oralusi who then chose Omo-Aje as his running mate. Fadahunsi had gone to court to challenge what he called a fraudulent action on the part of Oralusi. Though he continued his campaign despite the submission of the names of Oralusi and Omo-Aje to INEC, Fadahunsi, if he wins the case before Saturday may have to search for another running mate, as substitute for Omo-Aje. Otherwise AA will not be able to participate in the exercise on Saturday.
