Immigration Deports 106 Illegal Immigrants In Kaduna

Nuhu Akpan,the Kaduna State Comptroller of Immigration has announced the arrest of 106 illegal immigrants in the state.

While parading the illegal immigrants before journalists, Akpan said they were arrested after the postponement of the February general elections.

The comptroller stressed that the “Nigerian government is not against foreigners, but it is only against those foreigners who enter the country without proper entry requirements.”

Akpan therefore urged other foreigners wishing to come into Nigeria for one thing or the other to make sure that they have the required documents otherwise they will be deported.

The recent increase in the arrest of illegal immigrants along Nigeria’s borders has raised concerns at different quarters,especially as the elections draw closer. In fact there have been reported cases of aliens possessing the Permanent Voters Card,PVC.
