The 9-man disciplinary committee of the Imo State chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC has recommended the expulsion of the state governor, Rochas Okorocha, for his anti-party engagements.
In a letter signed by the committee chairman Matthew Omeghara and secretary Kevin Ugwu, the committee revealed that the Imo State governor could not appear before the committee after being summoned and did not put his reasons for his absence into writing.
The committee revealed they have enough evidence to prove that governor Rochas Okorocha has been engaging in anti-party activities.
The committee said, “That His Excellency was openly and brazenly, sponsoring, financing, campaigning for his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, who is the gubernatorial candidate of Action Alliance, AA” and sections of the APC constitutions were cited to back up the allegations; article 21 (A) i-vi of APC constitution (October 2014 as amended) punishable under article 21 D (i) (g).
“This is therefore the recommendation of the APC, Disciplinary Committee; that His Excellency, Anayo Rochas Okorocha, be expelled.”
