INEC Yet To Distribute PVC In Some Parts Of Rivers

As the Independent Electoral National Commission, INEC, begins the distribution of the Permanent Voters’ Card, PVC, in some parts of the federation today, residents of Rivers State, have decried the absence of INEC staff and materials in some parts of the state.

According to reports, INEC officials are yet to arrive with the materials at NTA station premises, a major voters’ registration center and Rumuigbo Civic Centre as at 12noon today.

To ensure the effective distribution of the PVC and Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, INEC had rescheduled the distribution process between Friday, November 28 and Sunday, November 30 in Rivers, Katsina, Nasarawa, Borno, Kaduna, Niger and in nine LGs in Lagos State, while the CVR, is expected to take place between Wednesday, December 3 and Monday, December 8, 2014.
