Mark Hughes, Stoke City manager, has lavished praises on Victor Moses, Super Eagles winger, for his display in the club’s encounter against Newcastle. Hughes, who described Moses as exceptional after his cross found Peter Crouch who scored the only goal of the match, said the winger was a man on a mission.
“Moses has been exceptional; he’s a man on a mission, I would suggest. He hasn’t had a lot of football in the last two seasons and he just wants to play. Every time he gets into those wide positions you sense something is going to happen,” Hughes said.
In the same vein, Crouch, Moses’ teammate, described him as the club’s main threat so far.
“Victor’s been our main threat so far this year, and he’s going to get quality balls into the box. It was a great delivery and I’m pleased with the goal,” Crouch said.
Moses, who is on loan from Chelsea, has been invited to the Super Eagles squad, which will face Sudan in the ongoing qualifiers for the 2015 African Cup of Nations.
