Nigerian Hollywood actress, Uzoamaka Nwaneka Aduba has won two awards at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles, USA on Sunday.
Uzo stars in the hit series, “Orange is the New Black.” She won the awards for ‘Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series’ and ‘Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy series.’
The actress, who was born to Nigerian parents in Boston Massachusetts and raised in Medfield, Massachusetts, came into the limelight in 2003, when her performance in Translations of Xhosa at the Olney Theatre Centre for the Arts earned her a Helen Hayes Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a play.
